Rob Jensen

Rob Jensen

Lead Artist Rob Jensen conceived the Sonic Runway while observing the effects of sound at Burning Man in 2002. As a visual artist, engineer, and musician, Rob has always been drawn to the intersection of science and art.

Rob's day job also combines art and technology, where he alternates between animating and engineering at Pixar Animation Studios.

Warren Trezevant

Warren Trezevant

Warren enjoys creating experiences of wonder. From bringing characters to life on the movie screen, as a former animator at Pixar Animation Studios, to bringing them to life in the real world with the stroboscopic Toy Story Zoetrope, Peter Hudson's large-scale zoetropes Charon and Eternal Return, as well as the breathing for Marco Cochrane's R_Evolution.

Warren was thrilled to return to the Sonic Runway for a third time in 2016.

Stockhausen

Stockhausen

Stockhausen is a design engineer and fabricator who specializes in building and installing large scale art pieces, furniture and custom architectural interiors. Over the years, Stockhausen has worked with leading artists, architects and designers, including Marco Cochrane, Peter Hudson, Gulassa & Company and Graham Baba Architects, to help them transform their concepts into engineered reality.

Scott Ashkenaz

Scott Ashkenaz

Scott 'Smash' Ashkenaz is a semi-retired semiconductor executive with a background in photographic science, microlithography, metrology, and strategic and product marketing for technology. He does a bit of consulting in tech and the semiconductor industry.

Scott's been involved in numerous large art projects, including Sonic Runway, Peter Hudson's zoetropes, the Flamethrower Shooting Gallery, and a Burning Man Temple. He travels (want to do a house exchange?), cooks with chile peppers and science, dabbles in photography, and tries to snatch disorder from the paws of two terrorist kittens.

Jeff Adams

Jeff Adams

Craftsman roots, an engineering degree, and a fascination with big industrial machinery guided Jeff through his profession, including work with Frank Oppenheimer in the early days of the Exploratorium and stops along the way in automotive design and wastewater treatment.

Directly applying expertise in design, metalwork and materials, Jeff took a lead role in concepts, prototypes and details for the Sonic Runway installation for Burning Man 2016.

Deb Linton

Deb Linton

Deb Linton is a Sonic Runway regular. Volunteering on installations and breakdowns, she helps with electronic assembly and fabrication. In her professional life, she specializes in product management, UX research, and product design.

Deb is a beekeeper, rollerblader, and a Burning Man camp leader.

Diana Jensen

Diana Jensen

Boston native turned veteran Burner, Diana Jensen has collaborated on many art projects and theme camps throughout the years. Diana's designed and produced fabric panels for the original Sonic Runway in 2003 and managed the fundraising perks for the 2016 Sonic Runway.

By day, Diana is a self proclaimed policy wonk, analyzing big data on behalf of the SF-Marin Food Bank.

Michael Frederickson

Michael Frederickson

Michael Frederickson is a technical artist creating visuals and music, often procedurally but always with an eye on human interaction, magic, and humor.
